A career from ‘multimedia and graphics’ that I am interested in is a ‘multimedia developer’.

Multimedia developers perform the following tasks:
  • Talking with clients
  • Investigate, analyse and recommend appropriate equipment and software to achieve the clients' objectives
  • Prepare flow diagrams and storyboards
  • Prepare code to produce the multimedia product
  • Prepare digital graphics, animations, sound, video, photographs and images for editing.
  • Prepare design concepts
  • Manage the development and implementation of multimedia products.


Entry Training

- you will need to have a degree, certificate or diploma course in multimedia and design. These are all courses that relate to Multimedia.

Where you can complete the entry requirements in Victoria- there are courses at Victoria Uni, Swinburne Uni of Technology, Monash Uni and Deakin Uni.
Employment Opportunities- Multimedia developers may work for a range of organisations including media and publishing, web design or animation studios.
Salary Range- The salary ranges from $30,000- $200,000+

I found a few job vacancies for jobs to do with multimedia but not many that were just multimedia developer.
All the job vacancies I could find were in Melbourne or in the outer suburbs.
